It's about time I mention the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic video featuring the assassin. It is interesting if you are a fan of series such as Thief and Deus Ex, which allowed you to use stealth to achieve your goals, but the Dark Messiah videos are starting to look all the same by now. There's really is a limit to the number of orcs you can watch getting killed before you get bored. In any case, you can meet the Assassin in the new Video page I set up, which includes links to other videos of the 3D action game.
A couple of new Heroes-related features are being finalized. The Sylvan strategy article is almost ready, and there's a column by a girl with shiny blue eyes coming soon. Don't go away.

The Warlock → The Clanlord
- by Infiltrator
You would probably be disappointed if the Warlock campaign walkthrough was not written by Infiltrator. I'm happy to announce that our resident Dungeon expert is back to guide you through those missions. The first map, The Clanlord, is an inovative arena-style map where you must train you hero before a grand battle. Infiltrator suggests a way to get the most of that one month period.

There are several other walkthrough articles on the way, so we should have a full set soon.

Inferno Strategy
- by Bandobras Took
You are probably already familiar with Infiltrator's Dungeon Guide, which has gone through a complete revision already. But you might have missed Bandobras Took's thread about the Inferno at the Round Table: it's a very detailed analysis of the might-oriented town that is easy to play, but difficult to master. The new article is now on Celestial Heavens, along with a couple of screenshots. Find out about the Inferno abilities, the best skills to pick up for your demon lords, tips to minimize the losses of your troops and what the best heroes are. Special thanks to Mr. Took for his great work.

The Cultist → The Conquest
- by Angelspit
A few sneaky readers found the new walkthrough that I posted last night, not long before Infiltrator's guide was released. This new article is for The Conquest, definitely a mission that gave headaches to many players. The path I suggest, picking up the southern town on week 2, ignoring the Infero and rushing to the north-west, works well for Normal and maybe Hard, but the Heroic setting is a completely different story. If you are having problems with this scenario, the first thing to do is to apply the patch, even though you will still have to go through those nasty Earth Elementals.
We have articles for the Necropolis and the Dungeon planned for the near future. Happy adventuring.

Patch 1.1
- by Kalah
Ubisoft released a first patch for Heroes of Might and Magic V. The 53 MB file can be downloaded from here. Be careful as there are multiple versions of the patch.
The update resolves a lot of small issues (you can view the readme at the Round Table). Changes include an auto-patcher, an easy difficulty setting, various changes for multiplay, an easier third scenario for Inferno and many, many more.
