Heroespedia: Order
- by Angelspit
The Order Magic section of the Heroespedia has been expanded with a lot (and I mean a lot!) of tips for the various spells, thanks to Tao Jones and Psychobabble. See how you can use Hypnotize in an effective way, learn about the situations where Cowardice is useful and read about some important notes regarding Mass Precision.
Work has already started on the Nature magic section. You can help by adding content of your own. With 141 articles, the Heroespedia is growing up fast, but there are still a lot of things to talk about.

Maps from The Fiery Phoenix
- by Angelspit
I used to publish a feature I called "Mapmaker Spotlight" a few years ago, some sort of homage to the most famous map creators. When a fellow fan called Tang Wen En sent me a couple of his old maps recently, the old feature rose from its ashes by itself! You see, Tang Wen En is also known as The Fiery Phoenix, one of the best Heroes of Might and Magic III mapmakers. Three of his maps have been added to the Celestial Heavens collection.

Ringing of Victory: "As an innocent village boy (with a not-so-innocent pet), Cohlen wanted adventure. And that was what he got, having fallen in love and promising (to an unknown woman) to go to the edge of the world (literally) to find her stolen ring. Little did he know what the (evil) thief had in store for him..."
Sentinel Recognition: "You hate cheaters, especially if it's your brother. You unleash mighty punishment on cheaters. Especially if it's your brother."
Statute Quandary: "You, the amazingly responsible nephew, have broken your uncle's statuette. Hmm... and wouldn't be so coincidental that he would like the statuette brought to his castle right now?"

Heroes V available to download?
- by Biggles Final Flight
Whoaa there, I'm not talking about a HL2 hack scenario here - Ubisoft have just signed an exclusive digital distribution deal with IGN via their Direct2Drive download site. This will include all of their new and future titles, so it's reasonable to assume that HOMMV might also be available for download this time next year.
Unfortunately, I won't be downloading it (even if I wanted to) as Direct2Drive is still only available to North American customers. You guys get all the good stuff :( ........

Heroespedia: Do You Believe in Magic?
- by Angelspit
The Heroespedia now has an extensive spell section, courtesy of Ynhockey (descriptions) and Psychobabble (graphics). Check out the links under Magic School Specializations. The content is searchable, there are images of some of the spells, and best of all you can enter comments of your own.
Also, check out the new page for the Nightmare, which includes some tips for sieges. Be sure to keep an eye on the Recent changes page for more Heroes of Might and Magic IV information.

New Map: AI Madness
- by Angelspit

The map is small, contains an underground and requires the Winds of War expansion or version 3.51 of the Equilibris mod. It can be played by a single player as well.

New Map: Lardyria

Keep an eye on the regularly-updated Maptesting section, which now has two new entries: Chrysalis and Caitlin's Quest Begins. The first one is a large Heroes IV map, and the second one is this first (small) map of an upcoming campaign. Are you up for some tests?

Might and Magic Games Coming
- by Angelspit
ToTheGame has a report on Ubisoft's games for the fiscal year 2005-2006, which ends on March 31, 2006. Far Cry Instinct, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and King Kong are among the most-expected title for the year. There is also a reference to two strategy games under the Might and Magic brand, probably Heroes of Might and Magic Online and Heroes of Might and Magic V. Thanks to Greco for linking to the article in our forums.
