I rented an Anime movie called Appleseed last week that I thought was pretty good.

I watched The Wizard of Oz all over again on Saturday. I'm always impressed by the size of the sets, and the great costumes. I can't believe that movie was made in 1939.

No, don't waste your time. The first was passable. The second and third were just bad.

If you want great costumes, in addition to a fun story and great acting, check out Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. ;)

Mission Impossible 3 was better that I thought it would be but that is not saying much. Average for me.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I just got "HMS Pinafore" and "Pirates of Penzance" from Amazon. It's a lot of fun :)

I am the very model of a modern Major-General
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical

I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse

With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotepotenuse

I'm very good at integral and differential calculus
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous

I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies
I know the croaking chorus from the Frogs of Aristophanes
Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore

And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinapinafore

Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform
And tell you ev'ry detail of Caractacus's uniform
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

In fact, when I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin"
When I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin
When such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at
And when I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat"

When I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery
When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery
In short, when I've a smattering of elemental strategy
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee

You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a sat a gee

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century
But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
He is the very model of a modern Major-General

And an actual funny comedy for once.

Saw parts of Pledge This! when my brother was watching it.... man did that suck.

Anyone seen Perfume: The Story of a Murderer? I like this description of it:
"A visual feast with an antihero that's impossible to feel sympathy for."
Frankly I think they're wrong, but we need more unsympathetic people in movies (Doc Ock disappointed me in Spider-Man 2)

well I thought MI-III was actually rather good, but I did have very low expectations of it

watching DOA at the moment and I reckon with the exception Danijel (being a massive Holly Valance fan) it's pretty average .... I am enjoying it despite the acting :D

Saw 'Fractured' last week. OK but not outstanding. Good premise, but lousy resolution. Two stars.

For those of you who are seeking to waste an hour and a half of your life, watch Pathfinder. It's just flat out stupid.
