Far be it for me to gripe, having just given up a 5 letter word myself (although I've never seen it hyphenated like that, in my own defense), but people: there IS a strategy here. You can't use a word like outstanding -because you KNOW someone is going to come along and say "standings". COngrats - you just gave someone 8 points. You gotta try to find a word that limits the score that can be played off it.

well, English is not my native language (not my fault).
So by coincidence I didn't know the word 'standings'. (just like most of the words)
See it as a reward for the fastest, ad dl was faster than you, that's just something you'll have to accept. :proud:

I found it in a dictonary (redirecting to standing stone, but still).

You should be happy we aren't doing this in Swedish, since we can just keep adding new parts to compounds if we so desire.
