"This, my dear friend...is battle! Anime-style!"

*looks away from stefan and starts staring at everyone else again*

Now you know why very few people enjoy DBZ or DBGT, and other such series, where this mechanic is abused. ;)

And yes...up to a certain point...it is pathetic.
But shush! You're breaking my concentration.

Blame UBI not us, if they would release something new and worthwhile we would be talking about games instead of trying to stare each other down. 8|

*sigh*

Yeah...Ubi's no fun at all. There's still so much time left before TotE comes out. I just hope they work all the bugs out first though. :)

And Jeff, you are only partially correct. We are all waiting for someone to attack first...:devious:

In the true nature of very dodgy anime...that moment could take various days. ;)

Think how short Dragon Ball Z would have been without the staring and reused footage. The whole series would have been 3 hours long.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Maybe not THAT short. ;)

But, yeah...it would've been a heck of a lot shorter, that's for sure. :)

This is what I'm talking about when I say bad anime.
You think that's bad animation?! You really need to see more crap, get some perspective.

Also, does anyone know how this one ended: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6gw56-tcHk (posted the french intro, the song is better the the italian one, not that the lyrics aren't less for kids)

I'm sorry, but french cartoonsdon't count as anime.

Also, what other cartoons you know that cover so many things except anime? I mean really, rhythmic gymnastics, volleyball, association football etc. Crazy...

Anime is just short for "animation" you know. In Japan it is used for any cartoon.

I knew the name sounded familiar:

As "la puta" means "the whore," (see Spanish profanity) some Spanish editions of "Gulliver's Travels" use "Lupata" as a euphemism. It's very likely, given Swift's way of satire, that he was well aware of the Spanish meaning (Gulliver himself claimed Spanish among the many languages in which he was fluent). Some find a parallel with Martin Luther's famous quote "That great whore, Reason", given Laputians' extreme fondness of reason. However, that Swift's intention was to mock the so-called "Age of Reason" is not without doubt, given the story-teller's great admiration of Houyhnhnms for their rational thinking.

You'all really need to watch Lady Oscar... it's just the first episode an it already had her father pushing her down a bunch of stairs, an old lady servant getting wasted and a 5 min fistfight between Oscar and her best friend. Brilliant.
