Hey DL - since you're from Serbia I thought I would ask: do you like schlivovitz (I think that's how it's spelled in English)? My best friend is from Serbia and he occasionally obtains a bottle from back home. Damn, that stuff is good. And potent.DaemianLucifer wrote:1) Filtered water. What can I say,I drink circa 3-5 liters per day.
2) Red wine
3) White wine
4) Shumadija's tea
5) Schnaps(I think thats the english word.Its called Rakija,or just Radza(pronounced like raja ))
6) Jucie(any clean one.I dont drink any thing with CO2)
7) Tequila sunrise
8) Long island ice tea
and so on in that fashion.

Well all I know is that it tastes great and can also double as a paint thinner.Bishop AlMighty wrote: Schlivovitz is something what we like to call, serbian brendy.

What he said.Rakija can be made from various plants. From apple(something like cider, but stronger),from plum(the above mentioned schlivovitz),peach, etc. It mostly resembles vodka and sake. And schlivovitz is my favourite.Although,as I said I prefer Shumadija's tea,its rakija made out of a pear, and then boiled. It does lose on its strenght, but it becomes much more sweeter and drinkable.Bishop AlMighty wrote:May I answer that please?Corribus wrote:Hey DL - since you're from Serbia I thought I would ask: do you like schlivovitz (I think that's how it's spelled in English)? By the gods, you're right. Sorry 'bout dat...
Well, it's a good drink, even if it's not finnish.
I've got news for you: Alcohol tastes bad. Really bad. In fact, it tastes so bad I can't eat 'em flamed foods since they still taste like the substance. Alcohol also destroys brain cells, causes an intoxitated state in which you can't control your actions AND makes you sick in the morning.Bishop AlMighty wrote:Im suprized how many of you drink non-alcoholic drinks.

To conclude: Yes, I know what I'm missing.
My favorite nonalcoholic drinks on the other hand just taste great.
"Yes, but what about David Beckham and the magic mushroom?"
I'm baaaaaack!
I'm baaaaaack!
Well, this isn't quite correct. Alcohol does not destroy the brain cells, and no, it doesn't intoxicates your mind and makes you unable to control your actions. That's a myth. People mostly use this as an excuse.Suleman wrote:Alcohol also destroys brain cells, causes an intoxitated state in which you can't control your actions AND makes you sick in the morning.

It can make you sick if you drink too much, that's sure. Just don't drink more than 5 bottles of whisky and you should be fine.

Veldrynus is right. In smaller doses alcochol doesnt do any harm.In fact it can be healthy and is sometimes highly recomended. And everything can kill you if you take to much.Veldrynus wrote:Well, this isn't quite correct. Actually, that's really only part of it. The chemistry of a hangover is actually pretty complex. You can read more about it here:ThunderTitan wrote: It makes U sick in the morning if U don't drink enough water. Hangovers are basicaly

If you drink in moderation, of course, you never have to worry about it.

Yeah, but if you can avoid it by just drinking water it means that dehydration is a big part of it.Corribus wrote: Actually, that's really only part of it. The chemistry of a hangover is actually pretty complex. You can read more about it here:

Drinking water certainly helps, but you can still be hung over even if you hydrate yourself well. It also depends highly on what exactly you're drinking.ThunderTitan wrote:Yeah, but if you can avoid it by just drinking water it means that dehydration is a big part of it.
