Neat fellas... now about that help on home systems?

I'm looking for something fun to fill my LAN/Workstation Desk.

Grrr... Now I can't find the photo... I posted it somewhere on the web...

Oh well....

As for those multi-screen displays... If one breaks... wouldn't it be better to have multiple flat screen monitors? Then you could upgrade one at a time and always have the latest greatest (and biggest) as the main/middle screen?

I guess that depends on the price, don't it.

The only use I've heard for multiple displays (connected to the same PC), is work-related.. my dad had this thing at work where one big screen displayed a microscopic view of a chip, while the two others displayed diagnostics and ordinary programs.

hmmm

we have some people here that use the multi-screen displays, one holds the cable plans and records and the other is a "working" screen

I also use a multi-screen format .... I have my PC going with work programs open, wesnoth windowed, CH open in one browser window, youtube in another, news site in a third, a fourth for BOFH/PA etc, and one for work .... and on the other screen (which is my portable DVD player) I have whatever movie or TV series I'm watching :D

That's more what I've got in mind.

I'm looking at three screens on the desk level and a larger TV on the upper level. I like playing TBS games like heroes, have a dvr going on one screen and have email/forums on another screen.

I also need to remote into a bunch of screens for work so multi monitor is a must.

I'm looking at a wide screen in the middle with a left and right screen for "clipboard" items and email/forum/chat. I like to do some a/v stuff (make videos, clips and "mix" stuff.

I think if I go for a premium graphics card to handle the TV and the main screen and another card to handle the side monitors that should handle the needs.

Now I'm just trying to determine cost, etc.

I might just start with two dual 19-inch monitors for the desktop and a Wide Screen in at a later date. The trouble I'm having is that I'd like for them to be the same vertical display so it they look good next to each other. For the upper level, I may look at a rear projection HDTV since I have the room.

Dell Tech Specs aren't to clear on the 19 FP versus the other ones...

19 FP is 16.2 in. high (but I think that includes the stand...)
24 WS = Display area 324mm or 12.7 in.
27 in. Wide Screen = 363.6mm

On my laptop I use multiple screens. One is my 1080p laptop screen and the other is my 50 inch HDTV screen. :D.
