This is just getting out of control!

I could bid all 1,000,000 gold pieces on the Ring of Permanency, for example, but then I'd probably get thrashed by someone who bid 10 gold pieces on the every other artifact.

Remember... there are 160 items still to come (actually 158 but I'll explain that later). I have to sort through the escalation but lets just say that any item that hasn't had a raising bid after this message will be stamped sold by 5PM my time (It's currently about 12:30 PM so if you do the math, that's about 4.5 hours).

One million divided by 168 items is only about $5950 per item - and there are still many big ticket items out there...

These were my original guestimations...

Gambler's Deck: A dog-eared Bicycle pinochle deck. Marked. Most of the luck comes into play by finding someone dumb enough to actually engage you in a game with these. And who plays pinochle.

Wand of Weakness: At the behest of the user, displays a rotating hologram of Kathy Ireland from the cover of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Highly effective, apparently even on troglodytes.

Arrow of Slaying: See "stage trees", inventor Larry Niven.

Necklace of Charm: As seen in Sirius Radio commercials, a heavy chain with a diamond-encrusted pendant spelling out the word "Snoop". Known to work on anyone seeking a magic herb called "Kronic".

Amulet of Fear: Indistinguishable from the Necklace of Charm. Known to work on Nancy Reagan.

Puse of Penny Pinching: Actually about the size of a duffle bag. Upon the invocation of its owner, Gilbert Gottfried emerges to harangue the negotiator into a lower price.

Nomad Blackbow: See "Javelin Shoulder-Fired Anti-Tank Missile".

Dragon Scale Shield: An advanced halon delivery system.

Shackles of War: A series of postdated press releases in the name of the enemy hero insisting that the wielder possesses indisputable capabilities of manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.
