Mod note: We do not support such action, so please refrain from referring to what the page says. Thanks

My fav was having a pic of Madonna instead of the actual president on the countries site. Now that was more imaginative.

I feel sorry for Akincilar (If you played SS2 you know what I'm meaning)

Now, I'm actually wondered are we protected by being small and lovely or we have some security lever...? (Ideally multiple layers of ICE :D :D )

I get why people would want to make a statement; I also get why someone would hack into the Pentagon, plant their flag and say: "Look what I just did", but I don't get why anyone would bother hacking into a gaming community site. Why even bother?

Oh and I'll join in with the others saying: "Idiot."

That's terrible. I hope the AoH people can bring back the site without any loss. :disagree:

What a pathetic existance those who do such things must have. I hope that somehow he can be tracked and prosecuted under the anti-hacking laws.

If it was a site in support of the sionists then it would have been legitimate. I wonder why HC got choosed though....

And hackers are skilled computerpeople which got my admiration. We should all strive to become as skilled as them.

There is a difference between a hacker that has some moral standards, and uses his skills to improve existing network or fight some unfair company/country and some looser that randomly attacks gaming sites and sends viruses to ordinary peoples homes. The second ones deserve nothig more than contempt.

Experience? But putting up that statement was stupid. And just cutting access to the site was idiotic too. What ever happened to subtlety...

The second category makes things more secure by making the admins take backups more often and stregnthen their defenses.

In an attempt to access a sub-forum of HC (to go around the musical hacker page), the following error message appeared:
406 Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forumdisplay.php3 could not be found on this server.
An appropriate representation? The current representation is inappropriate? ;) Is that officialese for "the site's been hacked"? I've never seen that message before.

That's absurd logic. It's a bit like saying: bank robbers are great because they make banks hire security guards to make the banks more secure against potential robberies. Well, NFS - but, the only reason the banks would need to be more secure is to protect from more bank robbers, but if there were none in the first place there would be no need for security. It's a circular argument.

You can't justify a cause merely because it creates an effect that helps prevent the original cause.

You took the words right out of my mouth.Though I would use just general stealing and police and not bank robbers and security :D

That's twisting. You always need to prefer security it's like backbone, or additional backbone essential to all system if they wish to survive in long time period. The comparsion with robbers and security guys isn't good, better is take it like white corpuscles in your blood and your brain who operate them.

Homogenous systems/enviroments are easy to be hurt. On the other hand this is not true in all occassions. Just here is some balance according the situation.
