Ready For Maps?

Unread postby Kalah » 07 Nov 2011, 23:03

The Facebook page is reporting that the first user-made MP map for Heroes VI has been made available on <a href="/http://www.maps4heroes.com/heroes6/maps ... oes.com. It is said to be a 2-player MP made by Blue Camel, offering something ... unusual.

Celestial Heavens are also ready to support what is arguably one of the biggest reasons the Heroes series has become so popular with fans - and definitely the biggest reason for its longevity: the user-made maps. As usual, follow these instructions to send your maps to us.

I also think I should add these instructions on how to add a custom map to the game:

Put the .scn file into My Documents\Might & Magic Heroes VI\Scenario\

The map will then appear at the bottom of the map list when you start a Custom or Multiplayer game.

An empty map as it seems...

It's incredible that official H6 shows a user map after such a poor game. Well, I 've wasted 50 euros and I have played 3 times... Il will reinstall H3 o H5.

Good luck

Supposed to be an alpha of the map :P Not really done. We were going to test it in MP (already tested a tad in SP) but then we realized that you can't play user-made maps in Multi-Player yet cuz of another oversight on Ubi/BH's behalf (LOL). So it's there, but you can't play it in MP until they fix their game. Basically, the bug is that the game only checks the .orc files for map options when you create a MP game. It DOES check the /scenario folder for maps when you do SP or hotseat.. just not MP. Reported as bug already in the official Ubi bug thread; hopefully they do something.

Is it normal for computer to cheat on this map? It takes all mines without fighting for them. Just pass around the guards.

Wow, and we thought that Nival was bad. BH is taking the definition of ineptitude to a whole new level.

It does seem a bit lame, doesn't it ... they put up a message on their FB page saying: "Here, play this new map!" ... except that we can't because the game doesn't work :P

Yet another reason to buy Soft:Ubi's stuff, don't you think? :D
Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.
