Just finished my third testrun, but the first successful one. :)
I had to realize before, that the goal of the map is special: not to eliminate each and every opponent (which seems impossible to me in the given time limit), but to acquire an artifact by sneaking past the enemies. :)

You're absolutely right, Koni. Version 0.90 was indeed tested by you and I did receive your report based on your experience playing it 'til a succesful, victorious end. My bad. I apologize for failing to mention this. I must have been half asleep while I wrote my previous post here several hours ago. Don't blame me, blame the highly intensive noctural map making sessions. ;)
Or like Michael Jackson said, Blame It on the Boogie.

It's all good stuff, brother! :) I'm off to test version 0.92 (and blamin' it on the boogie, not the sunshine nor the good times but the boogie)

We're currently working on the second Sighisoara campaign's ("The Undead of Xerphef") prologue map called "Prime Suspect". This map will tell the story of how the undead of Xerphef managed to gain possession of the ultra-rare Relic artefact known as the Cloak of the Undead King. (it is referred to as "the Zelas" by the King of Xerphef who is a powerful necromancer and an all things occult expert himself)

The map shall be released as a standalone and not part of the Second Sighisoara campaign. Unlike in the upcoming second campaign where you shall play as Rampart, this map ("Prime Suspect") is about the wrongdoings of the agents of the King of Xerphef, whose in-game faction is that of the Necropolis. So tho summ things up: it's mainly a Necropolis vs Rampart type of map with Dungeon and Fortress playing secondary roles as other enemy factions. Please note that this will not be in the regular Kill 'em all style.

So, can I download the "prime Suspect" map, and what version of Heroes does it play on?

The Heroes III:SoD "Prime Suspect" map has not been yet released for the general audience here at CH or anywhere else on the internet. We are still tweaking the map to ensure that the release version's quality meets our standards. However, we're not turning away the people who come knocking at our door. ;)

This humble list of things is what the Team asks of the map tester:

1. Dedication: enough free time to enable messages going back and forth
2. Knowledge of Heroes III map making for consulting reasons
3. Constructive critisism
4. Non CH email to enable keeping in contact outside the Round Table
5. Open-minded, jovial personality (this is not a demand but a big plus)
6. As stated in no 1. lots of free time (you never know what might happen)

Act today and receive your invitation! No Green Card required.

Ok YS,
Please count me in!

I do not make my own H3 maps. I usually use the map generator and modify them slightly. I do know the game extremely well though. When I do play H3, it's almost always WoG.

I work from home, so I'm always near my home PC.

Yes, that is the beauty of the game. It ran well on my 8 year old PC as well.

Please tell me where to place the unpacked file?

Variol and dhalgren17 have joined the Sighisoara Map Testing Team. Latest version of the "Prime Suspect" has been sent to the fellas which means that this map will bear the mark of being the up to date most tested one prior to its release. And that is saying a lot. :)

Good luck to the testers! Please remember to report back to the Team with screenshots if possible. It's always a huge plus.

Indeed a good thing, that I'm no longer the only one, which testing reports Yurian is waiting for. (And I can lean back a bit, and continue my translation of Jeff's H4 campaign Lamentia's Story. ;) to jeff: Maps 1-4 are finished already. )
