Heroes III won't save!

Alright, I bought the Heroes 5 collectors edition because I missed 4 at one point, and for some reason when I play Heroes III, the new ubisoft, dvd edition, it won't autosave, nor can I manually save.... I can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated,
