MMIX: kill the frost giant but fail the quest

Unread postby CoffeeGnome » 23 Oct 2007, 15:42

In MMIX I thought that I would experiment and actually kill the frost giant in close-combat, but now I have found myself in a situation where I cannot complete the quest. Apparently the game only acknowledges that you have defeated him if you let him fall through the floor in the great hall (the easy way) and does not acknowledge it if you actually take the time to defeat him in combat (the hard way.) Anyone have any ideas how I can complete the quest now? :S

Hum, reload the game? ;) Actually I think one of the patches (might be TELP's 1.3 patch) allows the player to kill the giant in combat and count it as quest completed. However, better not risk it and kill him "the easy way".

The best way to deal with the situation is to uninstall the game and throw the CD in the closest garbage can :D

That is not a fair statement, all RPG's are better when you are drunk. (Improves the graphics :D )
