Cheat Command Guide
Cheat Command Guide
A fan called Curio wrote a very detailed guide about cheating in Heroes of Might and Magic V. Since the game doesn't include traditional cheats, you must edit the game's script to add bonuses such as skills, spells and creatures to your hero. That discovery was originally made by Wrongusername a month ago. Those cheats will require you to change a text file and enter console commands, but the explanation is simple and user-friendly. Check it out at Age of Heroes.
Of course, the half-dozen of players who currently play online on a regular basis should not use these cheats. If you had an Inferno opponent suddenly rush your castle with 60 Archangels, now you know how he did it.

Cheat Command Guide
Love the Guide. First 'cheat' I used was Reveal Map on the Tears for Ossir map. There's a lot more going on with the map than I first realized.
Re: Cheat Command Guide
Hmmm, first used the reveal map on C4m1. Saw AI just sitting in front of castle with big army, waiting..doing NOTHING and in console I can see they're also building up castle like madmen while I'm struggling with my sad little army to get an important mine cleared. Probably scripted that way but i lost interest nevertheless. Though certainly usefull in certain situations, cheats can also ruin your game but what else is newKing_Roland wrote:Love the Guide. Cheats can also save you hours of time; Picking the wrong strategy, heading in the wrong direction,..etc
The explore and slowly revealing the map is part of the game and I do that normally but when frustrated it's great to have that option.

Cheat Command Guide
It's got me stuffed how players can use cheats, finish the game and feel happy with their achievement and think they've done nothing wrong.

Concerning the Cheat Codes in the Expansion and/or Patch 1.3:
I read somewhere (now I can't find the thread) that the Cheat Codes are going to be reinstated, for single player only … in either or both Patch 1.3 or in the Expansion. Can anyone officially confirm this?
Also, will there be a diferent, more user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing way of using them besides that ugly console?
