Eldritch Arrow seems to be of the Fire element.

Hero attacks are non-elemental.

Both the attacker's and the defender's elements change when counter elements clash. The defender's elements usually change to one of the other two elements not involved in inital the attack/defense. The attacker's elemental change is unclear at this point.

Example:

Fire attacks Water, does bonus damage.
Fire (attacker) has a chance to switch to Earth, Air, or Water.
Water (defender) always switches. Chances for Earth or Air are highest, but Fire is possible.

Elemental weaknesses (mutual):

Air <> Earth
Water <> Fire

I wonder why there is no Light / Darkness elements?

Do you have any percentages which element is likely to occure on which creature after being attacked by the opposite element?

Mhh, then the strange (buggy) part is that the desrciption of altar of elements still tells something about "elemental chains" and breaking incomplete chains. :|
