MMX Dwarf
I understand that this is a dwarf, but why does he have feet at the end of his knees?

Re: MMX Dwarf
Depends on the social status of the character, I'd say.JSE wrote:> Most modern fantasy characters look like they're wearing pieces of a baroque church... What about plain armor and plain weapons for a change? Those can look very good and much more *believable*.

Sure, rich characters, nobles, priests and such can have a few adornments here and there. Fine with me. What I was referring to, however, is the general tendency of today's fantasy artists to put ornaments onto basically any item. The result usually looks very busy. In my opinion, most weapons and armor should generally seem like tools of warfare rather than aesthetic accessories.
