Week of Neutrals
Week of Neutrals
<img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... tal_sm.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>This week, we will see a bulk of neutral creatures released on <a href="/http://might-and-magic.ubi.com/heroes-6 ... 31-32">the official page</a>, starting today with the good old, one and only <i>Earth Elemental</i>.
Over the coming days, more neutral creatures will be released, no doubt to great discussion amongst the fans: Do they look good? What will their stats be? What about abilities? And most importantly of all: Will there be more?

Re: Week of Neutrals
The interesting thing is in their description, an earth elemental takes attributes from the rock it is formed from. I wonder if the stats of an E.elemental will vary based on the terrain you fight them on? (e.g. in grassland, they are more mud/dirt, meaning less sturdy, but can take a lot of physical damage (high hp, low defense), while in volcanic areas they are more obsidian, meaning harder, but more brittle (higher defense, low HP)

That sounds very interesting. Wonder if the same or similar will apply to other elementals? Saltwater elemental? Breeze elemental? Lava elemental? I hope QD's conjectures are correct.

Week of Neutrals
@Qurqirish Dragon:
Actually, a clay elemental would be both low defence and low hp. Hardness depends upon a number of factors. Sure, a crystalline material would be more brittle but thickness is important in inelastic materials. You can easily break a thin sheet of diamond with your fingers, but try breaking a 10cm thick one.

Today's neutral creature revealed is the Fire Elemental.

Yes, today's creature on the official page is the Air Elemental. Looks pretty good.

In the end, Phoenix is the one that grasp more my appeal of a design.
For the earth elemental description, it would seem that it's just opposite of having that fire elemental concept then, which looks like it's a magma/fire elemental. So, earth elementals being used on a magma terrain would become fire elementals? Hardly. Mayhaps they just throw in a unique terrain-only ability for each terrain - but that I really don't believe. What would be of earth elementals on a probably cloud-like terrain? Their strength could depend on terrain though, as it seems more logical - and all this regarding other elements as well.
Water elemental is that water wyrm from ages ago?

I think it looks stupid. It's supposed to be "neutral" but looks totally "evil".Kalah wrote:Yes, today's creature on the official page is the Air Elemental. Looks pretty good.

And in other news, Variol was murdered an eaten by a innocent looking demon, because he puts too much emphasis on how something looks when determining alignment...
