Something strange I have noticed...
When I attack enemy troops directly with any hero, not spells, they always inflict more damage to higher level enemy troops than lower level ones.
I rarely use this in mid / late game, but early on some heroes do more direct damage than spell damage
Surely it should be the reverse? Considering combat is a comparison of ATT vs DEF?
Has anyone else noticed this, and can anyone explain why.

Hero Direct Damage Question
We will either find a way, or we will make one. Emperor Hannibal.
it is a function of the level of the hero and the level of the target creature.
For example a lvl 1 hero will always kill 2 lvl1 units, and one level 2, unit.
The hero will kill a lvl 7 unit at level 20.
So the damage increases with the hero level and it will always deal enough damage to kill a certain number of creatures.

Based on the table, I would assume that the Summoned Phoenix is level 8, because otherwise a level 21 hero can kill the full-health phoenix in one hit, and I've never seen that happening. Plus, that would weaken the spell to the point of being useless.Dacarnix_ wrote:It also means that you're dealing a ton more direct damage to Assassins than Peasants (for example).
The Avatar of Death and Summon Hive count as Tier 8.
I want to say the Summoned Phoenix is also a Tier 8, but I can't find anything to back that up conclusively.
