I use a handfull of mods
* no combat mod, so the main menu has a black background (prevents massive lag)
* sharper textures mod, way better grapics for units
* necrobutton mod, it shows wich units get raised into what necro unit
* treant mod, beta treants rule
anways if your interested in mods I recommend the modding wiki

I thought it's "Lord of the Armpits" or something.
Are these mods easy to undo, in case there is an undesirable side effect? I had a very bad experience with a map that affected all my other maps. It took 3 uninstalls/reinstalls of the game to fix it. I still don't know how the 3rd reinstall did the trick, while the first two couldn't. I almost threw away the game in disgust. It's not an experience I care to repeat.

Mods do not change original game files, you just put them in the UserMods folder and voila! If you don't like one, quit the game and delete the mod file(s) and restart the game! I don't know what you mean by "affected all my maps"???
I believe in science and that science can explain everything.
Because God has made it all work in such a beautiful way...

That's what they said about maps too. Put the map in the Maps folder, and when you no longer want it, just delete it. Well, some maps will permanently "infect" other maps, and in my experience, deleting the offending map didn't correct the problem, as inexplicable, and infuriating, as that may sound.
And didn't someone point out that Legend of the Ancients is a campaign (map)?

Quoting myself - It IS a campaign, but it uses the MOD-s in a way many custom maps do.Ya5MieL wrote:Legends of the Ancients.

Anyway, here is an interesting thread that lists many H5 mods:

That link contains many mods, and some are pretty cool ones.
