I'm having lots of fun with the game. There are some great cinematics! Here Leliani sings after a battle at camp. My character is dwarf. He is a templar-champion. Leliani is a bard for those who may not have the game. She has about 6 tales and a song to share with you if she likes you enough. I thin...

I'll give them a bit of time to put out a first patch before I pick it up but the videos look great. :) I don't buy many games immediately anymore.

A bit of thread necromancy. A fan patch that adds content for hellgate has been released that some might find interesting. I haven't played Hellgate in a while so I decided to give it a try. Patch Notes Installation instructions I downloaded and installed it a little while ago. It installed smoothly...

When I read in a review that sandbox (random maps) was not included that was a deal breaker for me. Maybe they will include it in an update.

So when you click on the crossed swords in your spellbook they aren't there? Did you turn the page?

Are you sure you didn't load an earlier save and then not go learn the spells in the town?

Re: Two Heroes 5 questions / possible bugs

When you double click on a stack you should get a close up of the stack. In the lower right corner should be a dismiss button that should dismiss the stack. You can't dismiss the last stack a heroe has.

I'm pretty sure the shipyard placement would be recalculated every time you save the map. But experimentation could easily prove is this is so. Well, actually I don't think the map is repacked until you save the map and close it in the editor. The game originally had an 8 time limit (or at least sai...

Hmmmm. Since that didn't work the town is only looking at the mapwide spell list to see what to put in the guild. Looking in the editor I don't see another way to do it but maybe somebody else can come up with something. Barring that you could disallow everything but a level 1 mage guild and set up ...

Assuming you want to do this on a mapwide scale, click on "View" on the toolbar --> Map Properties --> Spells and then make sure the spells you want to allow are checked and the ones you don't want to allow are unchecked. You can do the same for artifacts in case you want to disallow some ...

Strange corruption

I've been working on a map and had a strange corruption of the map file earlier. After I saved and exited (after scripting an objective in the map properties tree ) to do some playtesting the game crashed when I tried to start it up. so I opened the map in the editor and all of the terrain had disap...

Re: Need help on Map: Virgin of Ponce III

That is a fun map.

The dragon scale shield is directly in front of the garrison that leads to the dragon farm. From the place where you start on the docks follow straight down the road and you can't miss it.

Heh, you just need to do a little exploring to find the ring.

The new Diablo 2 patch is supposed to add a biger stash, add skill respecs (which I won't use) and fix some bugs. Hopefully the inferno and arctic blast bugs will be fixed. Speculation is it will nerf a couple of things (like blessed hammer and enigma) and add a new boss mayber (to drop the respec f...

I like a Beholder for level 6 or 7. I like the idea of dragon turtles but there are already too many "dragon" things in the game. They already have basilisks so I wouldn't want a cockatrice. Shambling mound maybe? When it attacks it entangles like a treant but also does constriction damage...

The monk class looks interesting. There is a good bit of video on this fan site. I suspect Blizzard will drag out announcing the final class, which I am sure will be a ranged character of some sort.

I'm wondering when the new Diablo 2 patch is going to be released.

Use the random dwelling of the level of creature you want. Let us say you chose random level 7. After you place it left click it if it is not highlighted. Then hit the space bar. Go to the "Random Type" tab and chose "like player" and the player number that corresponds to the app...

Hi and welcome to the Round Table. The best place to ask mapmaking questions is in the mapmaking guild a few fourms down from this one. Anyways, what you do is click the town to highlight it. Hit the space bar. Now click the buildings tab and you'll see the list of possible building. Now Click the &...

I played through the Academy's starting area as Nur on heroic difficulty. I "cleaned the plate" (killed everything and accessed all objects) so threre are no blocked paths there. I think the balance in the area is nice. I missed the travel boots on my first pass through because I didn't tu...

I read that some scripts don't work right in multiplayer. I've only done scripting in single player maps. It is difficult to see why your script would cause a gold mine to disappear just from checking ownership of the mine. I checked mine ownership in a single player map that I was making (on which ...

Hmmmmm. I would disagree that Diablo requires little skill or thinking. Of course if you play a hammerdin there is little need to do much but spam hammers. And multiplyer lets you rely on others. Oh, and normal isn't too challenging, but the difficulties are supposed to scale. Try playing hardcore s...
