The Heroes Round Table

After so many years, HoMM nostalgia hit me again so I finally got Trial by Fire. Fittingly, I updated my list (for anyone who cares about such stuff) with new scenarios and campaigns.

I don't really care about additions as authors do it all the time but... why this one? Unlike the M&M games, HoMM games avoided such references in a very wide angle. I know Marzhin loves this part of M&M lore, but it just doesn't fit the old HoMM games for me.

This story takes place some times after Malathua's (Kunyak's father) death. This means after H7's Academy first mission. I will play the maps in chronological order, alongside other HoMM maps from earlier games.

For a while now, I wanted to make a chronology for all games and scenarios taking place in Ashan. There are two extremes in ways you can make an artwork: realistic or stylish.



H5, H6 and H7 art-style is on heavily stylistic side of spectrum, NEVER on realistic one. Yet people still talk like realism matters in H5+...

Is Equilibris usable in Windows 7 64-bit? I installed it and while H4 itself runs, Equilibris complains that it is not a proper Win32 system.

@Rife: - race that after its creation decided to serve Dragon goddess of Darkness - got massacred by Angels before humans got converted - had a hand in converting a faction of the elves to worship goddess of Darkness thus creating the Dark Elf race I don't think anything else is known about them...

Even if he does understand, he won't care. Thats simply his style and taste.

At best, you can say that Ubi didn't take into consideration the fact that H1-4 fans have a certain preferred style.

Looks good to me.

The color is also not a problem: blue fire exists and, quite honestly, seeing something that looks a tad bit different then usual is sometimes a good thing.

I think it is just the shallow water that makes it crossable. Deep sea will probably still require a ship.
