1) Just remembered: it's (at least) two points in the game where you have to die, and resurrected party will steal your XP, unless you kill it again.
2) Also master merchant can break the game:

1) You cannot use turnbased mode in solo game, it just hangs up. So I suggest you have some ranged weapon (and skill) from start, and to try your best to find Forad Darre as fast as possible as you on the Isle od Ashes. The further game should be easier, especially if you hire some meatshields. Alte...

I bet the more convenient chests are one inside The Training Halls and another one inside Lich Lab. Unless you want Super Guber Award.

More over, any well has a number of 'charges', that is, how many times it can increase your stat. E.g., New Sorpigal's Well of Luck increases Luck by 2 up to 16, but only 8 times. To get more, you must wait till its reset.

I guess it's just a large area and a few parcels.

IIRC, there the original game had a green card without cost (i.e. 0 monsters). Black cards are so redundant.

No duh, I've finished WoX with Robber/Ranger team, and heard of solo Ranger. Coins, scrolls, and other magic items totally help.

When I found that Telekinesis scroll doesn't disappear when used, I've started picking monsters' corpses with it, esp. when they seem to fall into waters. Alas, Grayface's patch ruins all fun.
