Quick question (quick answer?) (H5)

Unread postby Tivinu » 01 Mar 2009, 10:25

Ladies and gents,
After spending a while trawling through the forum to no avail, I will just have to ask you all for help. Very simply; where are the default maps of the game so i can remove those irritating limits on race, who can be on what team, the team layout, etc etc... why these were though of as good ideas in the first place is anyones guess. i remember doing this for H3 (just going into map editor, chaning the limits and re saving the maps as (normalname_new/co-op/etc...)
(and will i need to do anything special to get it to work for hot seat?)
Sorry if the answer is blaringly obvious, I have gone through all the folders but for the life of me cant find them to open them.

Cheers,

The maps are packed into file data.pak. However, good people already extracted all the maps for you. Just search the net.

Hellspawn and Frenzy, thankyou for your quick replies. I assume i now deal with them as per normal usermade maps (will their be any issue with name repeates?)

Cheers.

If you change any of those maps, you'll have to rename the title.
For example, if you change one to allied then rename it allied.
This way you don't get confused with the map names.
