H5 - Single to multiplayer?

Unread postby Sarvi » 20 Mar 2007, 11:11

Does anyone know how to convert a single-player map to multiplayer format in H5 ? Or, more generally, how to take the terrain and underground out of one map and creating another with it?
I've tried taking the terrain.bin files out of the sinleplayer map archive and putting them into a dummy multiplayer map archive. It didn't work - the editor would not let me load it.

here is how you can change maps from multi to single player and vice versa

viewtopic.php?t=4191

as for copying terrain, i dont know of anyway to do it.

i once tried to select, copy and then paste terrain objects onto another map, but that didnt work either. i was hoping they would be kept in the clipboard or something.

Well, you just have to edit a value in the map's .xdb file. The above link myythryyn posted explains everything. The only thing that I hate is that scripts don't work in Multiplayer. I have some cool multiplayer maps unplayable without scripts and can't play them because of this... I just hope they'll enable scripts in a patch or expansion :( Why they disabled them? because of cheating or what? :?
