Are you a real hero? (need testers)

Unread postby Akorg » 27 Jun 2006, 04:36

I've got a campain for WoW Are you a real hero? (see the description below). I'd be glad to meet more people who can test it. Now it's testing on the Russian forum Heroic Corner, but still no one who can finish it without of my prompt. May be the best players are busy with Heroes-V?
The campain in a zip-file can be downloaded from the Russian site http://www.kor.k96.ru (hope you can find zip-file among Russian text).

The present campaign is a set of the etudes, allowing to check up the professionalism in the Heroes-IV game
in all its basic components (tactics of single fights, skill to make a plan for achievement of the purpose,
a choice of apropriate castle for development and battle against known opponents, skill to get
resources when them at first sight are unavailable, knowledges of various not often used aspects of the game
(but not bugs), skill to battle heroes without of an army against surpassing armies of the opponent.
In the campaign meaningly there is no any history, lyrics or special desing. All is subordinated to one purpose
- on small maps, under conditions of clear purpose, not hidden available means and freedom of a choice to
solve a task in a limited time. The main idea can be characterized as: seven times think - only once kill.
It is recommended for those players who do not know other level of the game except of Champion and
which appreciate in the game tactic and strategic, instead of a lyric and art components. Language of dialogue
(English or Russian) selects at the beginning of the first map by the answer to a corresponding question.
The first mission of the campaign consists in a choice of the hero which you will try to pass all maps of
campaign, its initial development and capture of the empty castle. Despite of a seeming simplicity it is one of
the most difficult parts of campaign.
The second mission is very short - for 3 days. It check the correctness of your strategy in the first map:
whether you casually in the past have crushed the butterfly (as from R. Bredbery)?
The third map is devoted to check of skills of fast development and correct selection of castle for fight
with known opponents. You have to pass quickly 6 known neutral armies, choosing an apropriate
city and resources for development. You may pass neutral armies in any order, except of the last one.
The armies from one city can be used only once.
The fourth map is devoted to check knowledge of some not often used aspects of the game, skill to plan.
The main goal is to win strong army of the blue player for a long enough but still limited time. A problem that
neither the castle, nor army or money in the beginning are not present. There is your dwelling of 4 level monsters
and the strong ally, but.... So it is one more very complex mission.
Last mission of the campaign will allow you to show your skill of heroes only battles with huge armies
of monsters. Action occurs on a map of the second mission, only instead of cities you can choose corresponding
heroes approximately of 40 levels. Also neutral monsters much more abruptly. All would be remarkable, but your
Hero is still too weak, and he cannot be lost on this map. Besides it to pass last gate he should be not
below 16 levels.

Spliting stacks near the border gate allows your hero to go over the wall.

It's HMM-IV's bug. Hope Real Heroes should't use them. Do you think I have to script it?
