FRENCH??!?!?!?

Just got home from computer store - found an old dusty copy of HOMM 4 sitting on the shelves! I lost my copy awhile ago, so I was very happy to snatch it up for $19.99!!!!

Get it home, throw it in and.....FRENCH VERSION?!?!?!?!?!? WTF???? LOL

Does anyone know of a patch or fix I can use to get this into english? And if not, what's the french term for "Eat my lightning bolt"?

I've got French H2 and H3, but not H4. I returned to my home in the US before they came out.
Far too many people speak their minds without first verifying the quality of their source material.

I asked 3DO support the same question (the language question, not the lightning one) after buying a German version of the game, but they said there is no way to patch language...
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

That's one of them, yes. Since he seemed to want to trash talk, I chose a literal translation with a couple of other possible meanings. :) Coup=Blow and Foudre=Lightning, literally.

Seriously, your best option is to try to bring the game back to the store. We'll help you find a good deal on eBay afterwards. I'm sure you can get a copy of H4 somewhere for around $20, shipping included.

Ok - I will try to take it back...

I did download the Draconic campaign and stared to play it. All the in game stuff is in French, but the story stuff that the author wrote is English, so at least it's playable.

I will start checking ebay for HOMM IV and see what happens. If anyone knows of a good deal on there let me know! Thanks...
