Why are Commanders listed twice?
Re: Questions about Commanders in CRTRAITS.TXT
There's two of each Commander--one for the attacking player and one for the defending player. This is necessary since two of the same type can be on the battlefield and they can both have different sets of abilities, so they had to be set up as two different creatures, with all accompanying data files.Arkas wrote:Why are Commanders listed twice?

There's no difference in the potential abilities.EDN wrote:What is the different on defensive and offensive? I meen with abilities and that stuff... and all the other things
It's just that since each Commander can be customized as you go up in level, on the battlefield the attacking hero's Commander is likely to have some different abilities from the defending hero's Commander, so the game needs two different ones to track this in battle.
