spells deactivated?

Recently i played a warlock hero (in the map 'Jackdaw Jake') where i met a high level necromancer in battle. The necromancer was able to gradually deactivate all my destruction spells until i could not cast any, and yet i had lots of spell-points left.
How is this possible? Is there a specific necro hero with this skill? Or can anyone learn it?

Yes, there is a necro hero, who can disable a spell, after the spell is cast, preventing you from casting it again. The hero is Zoltan.

But I think that was discussed in more than one threads already.

he's always considered sucky, it sounds anoyying to fight against though
lucky warlocks always have the normal and empowered version of spells wich should give em some time before they run out of spells

Zoltan can block any spell, but the higher level it is the tougher it is for him to block.

He sure is a pain to fight against.

He is great to have in your corner. Completely nullifies the high-knowledge raise-deaders. Raise Dead isn't considered a high level spell, LOL.
