That would not be clever enough even for mediocre joke. And as for unit name thats pretty dumb 'cause it doesnt make sense.Wolfsburg wrote: Blade singer - Very clever change to blade dancers

There have already been many hints about that but here's a link just in case: Bladesinger.
Yay for creativity! Not that I dislike the name in the least, I just believe they should have picked a different name.

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I see.. So it looks AD&D guys are running out of word combinations. Well that was supposed to happen one day ..Elvin wrote:There have already been many hints about that but here's a link just in case: Bladesinger.

WotC or Nival - for me that doesnt matter. Name is still stupid.
And Nival has to be blamed, anyway. For using it.

Wolfsburg wrote:I am once and again an exception. I knew from the beggining that Ubi would never come up with 42 new designs for the expansion. So it wasn´t a turn off in first place when the new upgrades came based on the previous units. And I happen to like them. Although Apocalypse its right when he points the colors as saturated. One needs sunglasses to stare this goddamn unicorn!
What I deffinately think deserves a change are some of the names.
Dryad - historicaly and contextualy perfect
Blade singer - Very clever change to blade dancers
Sharp shooter - I like it
High druid - Predictable, and has no relation to the wolfskin he displays
White unicorn - What colour has to do it?
Anger treant - Looks like the names my 7 year old cousin comes up with
Rainbow Dragon - I like jade or saphire dragons better. Unless they dare a little bit more with the colours.
Neither have the Elder Druid with that deer head.. You dont need relation between the look and the name all the time. Like Nightmare..nightmare can look like many things, depending on your fantasy, like me, a bloodsucking elephant or a runaway vacuum cleaner are Nightmare enough for me...now I know what the alternate upg for that one might beHigh druid - Predictable, and has no relation to the wolfskin he displays
Yeah, Arcane Treant (because of the nice marks and mystic blue color) or even Angry Treant would be better.Anger treant - Looks like the names my 7 year old cousin comes up with
And those Lineage 2 names, sucks even more than the H5 names. And Monk to Tyrant? Jeeeez, gotta be some forceful, religious and fanatical propaganda shit there....
Spellsinger...yeah---> Mystic Muse *sniff*
I still like it. I must laugh that someone is after strict sense in a fantasy game. Go play Virtual Poker if you want sensu strictu and reality. That would not be clever enough even for mediocre joke. And as for unit name thats pretty dumb 'cause it doesnt make sense.
I AM the AD&D guy (since 12 years). And the fantastic bladesinger we had in our group just makes the name more adorable.I'll let the AD&D guys know.
Arcane treant would be a nice change, except for the fact that the fans would demmand him to be a caster.
Suggestion: Treant Sentinel or Treant Guardian
Elder druid still gives the idea of aging processand wisdom. But high druid just didnt convinced me. Are they supposed to be high on something?
Suggestions: Sylvanna´s chosen, Druid Archon, Druid Enforcer...

Possible interpretations for this sentence:
1 - You suggesting Ubi should change all names previously used in HOMM3.
2 - You are affirming it is only good because it is a copy from Heroes 3. Which doesnt change the fact it is good.
3 - You just want to make a fuss.

4 - There's no point in praising the name when it's in no way new to the game series. ( Ex: W00t, Centaur, what a great name, i love it. )
And ppl, it's a horse because it's called a Nightmare!
I for one would love to see a pixie in a clown suit called a Berserker.I must laugh that someone is after strict sense in a fantasy game.

Are we still talking about the game where there are small creatures called gremlins that are a engineous but submissive race, raised by greedy mages who live in a fluctuating city and dress their constructs as egiptians?I for one would love to see a pixie in a clown suit called a Berserker.
The point you missed is that there is a quite large gap between strict sense and non-sense. Right in that middle lays Heroes of Might and Magic and the word Bladesinger. (Which I happen to like)
The fact that the word Centaur is heard since the times of Homer and Aeschylus (at least 2500 years) has no influence on that aight?4 - There's no point in praising the name when it's in no way new to the game series. ( Ex: W00t, Centaur, what a great name, i love it)

Too late at night to try to present to you the modern world through the eyes of someone living in the middle ages...Wolfsburg wrote: Are we still talking about the game where there are small creatures called gremlins that are a engineous but submissive race, raised by greedy mages who live in a fluctuating city and dress their constructs as egiptians?
Wow, you actually got why i chose it... impressive. The fact that the word Centaur is heard since the times of Homer and Aeschylus (at least 2500 years) has no influence on that aight?
