Sorry if this is a rehash of something posted earlier... don't really have the patience to sift through six pages of a post. Seriously though, is this alternative upgrade thing really a good idea? I mean, if they were going to go that route, it might have been a better idea to do it ala HIV and simply have two distinct creatures from each tier to choose from and their subsequent upgrades (magi/golems, genies/nagas, minotaurs/medusas, etc.). Now, what? We have yet another seven structures costing untold gold and resources we must build otherwise we're on the short end of the stick on any given map? Seems kinda lame to me to be honest.

you said it brotha'

This is a pretty lame move from Nival, who instead of bringing us new original and interesting creatures they keep intoxicating us with the old ones now in triple version...

So the only tactical choice you have is what creature to spend your money on this week... Now that's what I call "lame". :disagree:

Well if you really think that alternating between them on a weekly basis is a good idea you're welcomed to try it.

Well you can say a lot about H4, but it wasn't all bad, and the different creatures were at least somewhat different.

The thing still is though, that there will be one set of strong creatures, and one set of weak ones, which will doom the weak ones (like in HoMM IV > the venom spawn, naga, dragon golem and the ogre mage) If they are balanced (which is probably to much of a task for Nival) it could be nice though.

Anyways, I heard the editor isn't much either so that means that this game will continue to be bad unless some miracle happens...
Grah!

H4=BAD is the mantra Ubival used in making H5.

Actually it is supposed to be evil.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

A very nice proposal :) but as we all say...enough elves! Bring in some gnomes, halflings, giants as races and it would be way better than 3+ elf factions :wall:
