Insane Mage Hero on Necropolis Mission 3

There's this annoying mage hero that has an insane army and won't leave my area alone. How do I get rid of him? He's made me lose twice and I cannot defeat his army.

Try using Isabel. That's what I did - I built Markal wrongly and he got outmuscled decisively, but Isabel wiped the poor army out.

I restarted and rushed. Thus far, I have no issues with insanely large armies.
