New found respect for Pit Lords

Unread postby The Mad Dragon » 27 Nov 2006, 15:19

I never realized exactly how powerful these creatures were. I was facing the final Sylvan hero in the 4th Inferno Campaign and he had a whopping 40 Dragons O.O! Aside from that, he had a mass amount of other units.

So, my ArchDevils get wiped, as well as some of my other units. I had used my Pit Lords spells and even gated with him. So, I decided to bring him physically into battle(all 76 of them).

Within 3 turns, the Dragons were dead. I could not believe that they were that powerful. I'm still in awe of them, I really am.

Well they are strong... but really slow... that's why you need teleport attack

Pit lords are quite devastating. In low numbers because of their awsome meteor shower,in high numbers, because they simply bring in the sheer brute force.

In order to do so you need expert light magic. Have you finished the inferno campaign then?

I have always respected them as AI enemies, just in case of Meteor Shower. I try to avoid fighting them unless I have Puppet Master or Blind / Resurrect.

Very mean enemies, very nice friendlies.
We will either find a way, or we will make one. Emperor Hannibal.

They really are one of the more solid units in the game. The best tier 6 creature by far in my opinion. I think Nival did a great job with its new look and abilities.

When I think of Caster units, I usually expect them to be physically weak. Boy was I wrong with the Pit Lords.
