HELP with patch

HELP with patch

ok every time i try to patch, it says the game is not installed, but it is....btw i have a crack on cause i lent the CD to an uncle in Toronto (i in Ottawa, Canada) and so, i reinstalled (before i gave him it...) and the patching STILL said there was no install, but that may be cause of a CRC Error i got where data didn't match?...neways i applied crack again and saved original .exe and tried, doesn't work, then i applied original but asks for Disc i don't have or says not installed AGAIN..i would get the disc back but hes on vacation to Thunder Bay (18 hour drive form here) and prolly doesn't have the game with him...so ya can anyone help?

As far as I know, you can't patch the game if you've cracked it.

o ok, didn't know about that, i'll delete my post. i always use a crack when playing after what happend with my armageddons blade cd :(

I know how you feel, but as a rule You always backup the uncracked.exe because cracked games cannot be patched.

You prolly got the wrong patch. Or maybe you're installing 1.2 on 1.0 version. Have to have first 1.1 patch.

Get correct 1.1 patch, you can check for sure what version it is in registry I think (Run-->Regedit, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINCE-->SOFTWARE-->UBISOFT-->Heroes of Might and Magic V. There it says European for my version. Install 1.1 patch, and use autoupdater for 1.2.

Also, Heroes 5 can be patched even with evil crack on.
