Can you please describe the whole thing a bit better? ;|

Do you have diplomacy as an ability? Anyway its pretty random if a stacks join you or not, its unindependent of faction type. And it may help if you have a strong army (easier to persuade you know=).

Strange...Are you saying like a stack of Hell Hounds wanted to join say your Heaven Army? I'm sure diplomacy & your large stack has something to do with it as Orfinn mentioned. Not really funny though...It happens sometimes.

Oh... ur talking about diplomacy. Might be because the creature of the week creatures have a better Disposition than the starting ones. Or someone mismatched it.

Is there a penalty for mixing factions?
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

Factions ougth to play a role in deciding that. Like +10% chance of joining if it's an allied alignment. +10% if it's your native alignment (starting). +10% if you got diplomacy. +10% if you got a powerful army.

I want the numbers but I wonder if we'll ever get them sinec Nival sure doesn't talk much.

If believabilty or immersion in the game is important to you, this has always been a problem with any HoMM maps that use random monsters. If I'm playing the benevolent ruler of the Preserve trying to save the world from evil necromancers, why on earth are these elves guarding their ore mine against me?

One of the big strengths of a well-designed custom map is that stacks of wandering monsters can be made to behave as the player would expect them to, and I hope that HV will make this possible via a good map editor.

I am referring to the Queens Campaign.. I'm not sure, does Godric start with diplomacy, as the very first Infernal creatures offered to join me. Yet, as I moved down to the sawmill , which was guarded by archer's, they wished to fight.. Yes I understand all the older HoMM games pretty much do the same thing, but I still think it's funny... If I'm so diplomatic why would troops of my own faction fight when the enemy troops love me.. maybe I should switch sides

Yes you loose Morale with to many different types of troops just like the older games do..
