Most memorable Character

Unread postby zuraffo » 06 Dec 2006, 17:52

In order of preference:

1. Kerrigan (The ultimate Queen Bitch of the Universe, nuff' said)
2. Shodan (Whoever thought AI could be more scary than human? Evil too, I like)
3. Solid Snake (Everyone likes a darkly handsome, macho special agent, especially if he has big guns ;))
4. Chun Li (First, she is the only girl among the twelve original Street Fighter. Second, she is chinese)
5. Cloud (Everyone likes a darkly handsome, macho special agent, especially if he has big swords ;))
6. Manny Calavera (He is a bit too witty for a skeleton)
7. Glottis (Err.... I can't really explain but anyone who played Grim Fandangon will fall in love with Glottis...)

I must say thought, the game industry is in a decidedly lack of original characters that you can love. In my long years (10+?) of indulging in games, there are only a handful that I remembered, much less liked. So... here you go!

Id say rincewind here, but he is not completelly a game character,so Ill pick others.

Not in any particular order:
Kerrigan & zeratul(starcraft)
Nameless one & morte(planescape:torment)
Actually, the whole cast of these two games are very memorable and extreemly detailed,I like them all.

Zak mckracken(zak mckracken and the alien mindbenders, which was my first P&C adventure)
Solmyr & gauldoth(do I need to say from where? :devious: )
Minsk(baldurs gate)
Garrett(thief)
Dr.breen(half life II)

Id also put artas up there, but he is just a kerrigan clone.

Being the protagonist in two games doesn't qualify? Then what does, hmm? :creative:

I pick "Don't touch my pixels!" Rincewind :D

Kreia... never wanted to kill anyone more without them being retarded.

Kerrigan & Raynor, with Fenix, Zeratul and Tassadar below them.

Solymr and Gauldoth, with the narrator guy from the Life campaign.

Kerrigan and Arthas first comes to mind with Raynor, Zeratul, Artanis, Tassadar and Illidan not far behind.

To remember some more I have to think about certain games. There are no others from other gameseries that I think about when I think about "game characters". In the Heroes series it has to be Agrael though

Knew i forgot somebody. And Illidan was OK too.

And Squall Lionheart from FF8, just cause he kept the babbling at a minimum.

Oh, I know it hardly qualifies as a character, but I am impressed with those birdie race in STar Control 2... You know, the race that go bonkers and suicide on the other race....

that would be the Yehat .... and on the topic of them, surely the Syreen commander (you know the one .... she's the one you can get into the sack!) would have to get a mention ....

as for other memorable characters ....

Another vote for Minsc. Remember, he's not crazy because his miniature giant space hamster tells him he's not.

I was still too young to know what that meant when I played Star Control 2 :baby:

Thanks for reminding the race name! I think Star Control 2 must be what started me on the path of no return on gaming! :D
