Something to look forward too...and I would have to get a copy of ToB first...:D.

@Omega: You can specialize your pally when you import into BG2. You are also allowed to respec your proficiencies too. And in the case of Rangers (applied to me), you can also re-choose your racial enemy (guess what I picked?).

Meh. Still not as cool as what you could get in one of the Neverwinter Nights' modules called Pirates of the Sword Coast.

In that scenario you become undead permanently, regardless of class and your eyes glow green. And since you could import any character to any module/campaign, you could get a really powerful hero. The glowing eyes only worked for that module, but it was still cool. Being immune to ciriticals is really nice.

No, but I know what it is. At that point in the game, it's not really a huge deal seeing as how your party is pretty much unstoppable at Epic levels, sans a few fights here and there.

I cleared out de'Arnise Hold...kinda cheesy quest to be honest. The Flail of Ages +3 is always good to have though...even though I have NO one in my party with Flail proficiency. :)

And...I've been getting on the Cowled Wizards bad side...by casting spells in Athkatla...:devious:

Sad how one little Insect Plague totally renders them helpless...(Druids own! :D)

I remember the first time I played Baldur's Gate 2 and discovered I couldn't cast spells in town. Really ticked me off how enemies could without reprecussion but you cast a spell and the wizards come and pester you.

I read somewhere that they EVENTUALLY stop pestering you if you draw their attention enough (about 10 times or so). You'll get a special warning from the enforcer that DD's into the area and a wizard with Time Stop and Improved Alacrity (among other thingies) will DD in to fight you. You beat him and the Cowled Wizards leave you alone (you can cast spells freely in Athkatla).

I've done it before I think. That's when it's handy to have a Holy Avenger. :D

and some good spells :) I didn't mind DeArnise Hold, mostly cause it tends to be my stronghold, so there's some bonus stuff there, and you should always make sure someone's got some Flail proficency, this is exactly why I play multiplayer and create all six members of the party, if I get a chance I'll get their stats, classes and eqp lists to show off, at the end of the game of course ;)

I beat up ALL the waves of Cowled Wizards.

Two words: Insect Plague.

That spell owns! 100% casting failure renders even the toughest mage a simple nuisance until the 6 round duration ends.

Got the Silver Pantaloons...had to get...naughty though. :)

Romancing Aerie...I rebuffed Jaheira in a recent conversation to secure Aerie. I wonder when the romance for Aerie concludes (In my last game, I actually took it all the way to the part where you get to choose if you sleep with her or not...I distinctly remember that conversation was near where the Flesh Armor guy is; Umar Hills I think).

I always found it easier to go to the Government district and pay the Cowled Wizards to leave you alone.

I know...I know...I rushed things last game. It ends the romance prematurely...which is why I'm going to not rush on this play-through.

Of course, my BG2 adventures are on hold for now, thanks to Fable...but that's a discussion for another thread. ;)

:lolu:

I beat Fable anyways...but I REALLY should put some time into fleshing out my part of the Faction Debate...would be rather naughty to not do anything.

on the topic of game switching I thought about dumping FFXII out of the ps2 in favour of GoW II, but since they are both very involved games, I thought I'd finish one first .... it's taking a long time though :)

I can tell. ;)

It's taking you longer to beat FFXII than what it took me to clear out most of the quest in Oblivion (about 60-65 hours). :D
