I can only hope I have a good desktop when the game is released.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Just saw this intro, it is so good and reminds me a lot the first
2 parts! I love fallout 1+2 and I really hope that the 3d part will
be so good as them. Is little early to say anything more I think,
but the fact I heard again the voice "War, war never changes"
make me really happy :)

Every beast dies...

They just did a mistake and don't want to admit it.

Actually the second e-mail seem to be the mistake, as the collectors edition is still listed as unavailable. I sent them a snarky note about it.

Amazon is a big machine with no human being behind it. The Great Alien Invasion of Earth will be handled with spam offers for the latest bestsellers.

Got another email, more thorough and seemingly correct. And with quite a bit of groveling because of their earlier cockups. Seems the collectors edition will be available, and they offered me fastest shipping cost-free. Fair enough.

Now my next project is to get them to institute better English-courses for their Indian (or thereabouts) customer support personnel :D

Good deal. I'll probably try to pick up a copy sometime tomorrow. Either Super Walmart or Gamestop should have enough in stock.

Edit 1: Here's what I'm thinking for my first playthrough.

Stealth Sniper Build:

STR: 5
Per: 7
END: 4
CHR: 4
INT: 8
AGL: 7
Luck: 5

TAGS: Small Guns, Sneak, Repair

Level 2: Intensive training (AGL=8)
Level 3: Intensive training (AGL=9)
Level 4: Educated
Level 5: Intensive training (AGL=10)
Level 6: Intensive training (LK=6)
Level 7: Intensive training (PER=8)
Level 8: Strong Back
Level 9: Intensive training (PER =9)
Level 10: Finese
Level 11: Intensive Training (PER =10)
Level 12: Sniper
Level 13: Silent Runner
Level 14: Cyborg
Level 15: Adamantium Skeleton
Level 16: Better Criticals
Level 17: Action Boy
Level 18: Concentrated Fire
Level 19: Commando
Level 20: Grim Reaper's Sprint
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

I don't do "builds" on my first go's at a game :) I do what seems like a good idea at the time. But then I am also a rabid restarter, which frequently leads me to never actually finish games.

Just got X3: Terran Conflict, which I'm playing quite a bit, and won't have as much free time as usual the next month or so, so I considered letting amazon o the hook and only order it with normal postage speed. But naaah...

Do the Fallout games take a long time to finish? I'm considering picking up a good RPG once I'm done with my current game, but my schedule doesn't allow long playing sessions.

They're 5.99 each at GOG.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.
