When you play a game(any game),and it becomes obvious who is the winner,do you play it untill the fat lady sings,or do you just quit?

I play to the end (if there is one), to get on the high-score list etc. Some times, if I get really bored, I can do what Ethric usually does and hasten the end (i.e. by claiming special victory).

Someone's gotta change the topic of this thread. Sounds like something you'd find in a forum for 14 year old boys.

As to the question. Yes, I go all the way. ALL the way.

I "go all the way". In fact, sometimes I stretch out the fun for as long as I can. :-D

In multiplayer, I will play fair and stay with my opponent until the end: I don't mind losing as long as the game is fun. In single-player, I will often restart the game if I see my chances are thin. My gaming time is limited so I don't want it to be spent on a frustrating game.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

I play all the way, especially for RPGs! Unless it really sucked.

For RPG, if I can't get it through, I feel guilty because I wasted too much time for nothing. But Dungeon Siege II was REALLY testing on my patience... :(

As for RTS, I often try my best to fight through. :proud:

Whats the point of playing when you dont want to win? Well sometimes I let the enemy get a chance and see if they still can make the difference by give them time to strenghten their armies and challenge me :D

Are we talking Heroes games here? Or other? Generally speaking, if the game has a strong story, I will play it to the end to find out what happens. In strategy type games that you're just playing generic scenarios, I often will not finish them. In CIVIII, I rarely play the whole way through, for example, because I get bored towards the end when it just comes down to mopping up. I'd rather start a new game.

Voted mostly play it all the way. I like to spend hour after hour slaving through every part of the adventure map. I'd rather spend way to much time (basically doing nothing) and get less points than hurry up and make the highscore. I like to take my time. I just play it for fun ;)
For the record: I like making the highscore, it's just not why I play..

And for other games than H4: I always win :proud:

What? You mean you people are really grown ups? Help, help, I'm being stalked!
