I picked up the complete edition of The Witcher 3 for about $20 on Xbox last night, a Black Friday deal. That should keep me busy for close to 200 hours. I know I'm late to the party, but I finished part 2 a couple of days ago.

I picked up the complete edition of The Witcher 3 for about $20 on Xbox last night, a Black Friday deal. That should keep me busy for close to 200 hours. I know I'm late to the party, but I finished part 2 a couple of days ago.

No worries, I still have my "Syberia: The World Before" and I might find time to finish it till the end of 2024. So one small game is over a year in my case.

Thought I own Witcher 1+2 they are not my "cup of tea" and I'm keeping only books as the best. Netflix series, with somewhat acceptable part I. is also a misdoing. These completely lack original atmosphere and intriguing stories.

You would recommend the books?
My girlfriend said she found the Netflix show confusing with those time lapses, so I'm not sure I want to give it a try myself.

Yes, by all means and with no hesitation. Books are splendid. Though I don't know much about english translation quality. Here in czech we have excellent translators and polish language is quite close.

And not only "main" Witcher line. There are stories revolving softly around it.

Wiedźmin by Marek Brodski, is serial with 13 parts. Though it can be rated as average, it's faithful to original and for me it was better pleasure than watching Netflix attempt.

Oh, and the books here were very nicely illustrated. Simply classic.

I have Complete Collection of Syberia, as I like these slow mood games. Otherwise even if 1+2 are better because of older, simple and more convincing engine the new ones, Syberia 3 + Beyond, are still a visual feast. More close to comix playbook than anything else.
