Well -5, -7 to spell cost is nice, but on second thought even mass GiantStrength for Nature would be far better...

Each fraction could gain bonus ability for creatures, but Order has some problem as it's magic aims at control, not benefitial/harmful spells.
And mass berzerk, would be overpowered. Mabye mass slow could help (like mass misfortune for single mirror of revenge) but a for combinated ability would be still too weak.

I thought about the topic, and now I must admit that my idea of combination for each fraction was unrealistic :sad: Mabye there could be some (but not many) combinatons of artifacts, but new ones.

Those which exist should work as usual. Before Eq. nobody thought about combinations but about balancing some of them. And I strongly believe that we should go towards the idea of balance, rather than make heroes 4.5

P.S. Now I'm convinced that artifacts are just addon, magical items that can help a bit, and give great support (improved relics, but it's not topic for that), but still shouldn't change the tides of war. It would be better to rely on units, hero, magic and tactical playing, but it's only my personal point of view:) Does anyone think simmilar?

Well, in my opinion (and more than one is gonna hate me from now on) artifact combinations for currently existing artifacts is a bad idea. It's just spamming the description box, and if we put som many combinations then we would have the inventory full of incomplete sets.

Anyway...
And mass berzerk, would be overpowered
Now that gave me a crazy idea. What about an artifact that allows the hero to cast mass berserk, but both to allies and foes? Yep, that would be fun :proud:

And messy.But then you just have to find mind shield and youre ok.

Let's combine basic gear to make it fun!

Freshman Platter
Leather Armor, Cap of Knowledge, Apprentice's Handbook, Telescope.
+5 movement, +5 Scouting Radius, and 10x Strength to Level 1 spells!

SuperLuck Platter
Four Leaf Clover, Gambler's Deck, Horseshoe, Leprechaun's Ring
Max Luck for entire Party (immune to bad luck modifier spells)!

GoldDigger Platter
Bag of Gold, Sack of Gold, Purse of Gold, Purse of Penny Pinching
$5000 a day + 25% off all purchases (including Caravan)!

EverSeer Platter
Breeze the Falchon, Helm of Seeing, Wand of Illusion, Telecope, and Viewing Crystal.
Lifts the Fog of War for your forces.

Mostly kidding... But I like the EverSeer Platter.

What about Greatsword+Mage Staff = gives all your units the devour ability? :D :disagree:

Well, you know I'm kinda against adding more artifact combinations for currently existing ones...

I'm surprised you don't know that this combo is already in the game. Just equip these two artifacts on the same hero and you'll get the devour. Try it, it's fun.

Why must all artifact combos be so über-powerful?

Leather armor+shield+longsword=hero gets unlimited relatations
that would make a reason to actually buy that junk in town or blacksmith
and we could have a FEW über-combos of course...
adamantine shield&armor+sword of the gods=doubles a hero's hit points

I think artifact combos should affect mostly heroes.

flaming arrow+brimestone plate+flaming sword=ability to summon efreets

and I wanna see some NEW artifacts!

As for bonus I'm not sure, if it isn't too good for cheap & easily aquirable artifacts, but may stay.
I'd like to say I just love the idea of making the equipment from blacksmithes more useful :tsup:

Leprechaun's Ring + Four Leaf Clover = Leprechaun's do 5x damage!!!

Horseshoe + Equestrian's Gloves = Champions do 2x damage

Gem Casket + Necklace of Charm = Titans have Shoots Twice skill and morale boost

Maranthea's Mug + Dwarven Hammer + Dwarven Shield = "Battle" Dwarves do 5x damage!!!

Dragon shield+Armour +20% Att/Def for Black & Megadragons?
Flamesword+Brimstone Breastplate doubles Efreet dmg and dmg from Fire shield?
Seems to be nice, but probably it'll create to much mess in scripting & gameplay...

It's just example, I haven't deeply considered that kind of combination...
