Dark Messiah Elements Details

Unread postby Angelspit » 25 May 2007, 20:31

<img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... h_Tiny.jpg" align=left vspace=10 hspace=10>French site <a href="/http://www.gameblog.fr/news_1208_le-som ... blog.fr</a> posted some information about the Xbox 360 port of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, "<b>Elements</b>". Here is a quick translation of the most interesting points:<ul>

<li>The title is being produced by the team behind Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

<li>Gameplay will be faster (!)

<li>Multiplayer will be reworked, with skill points no longer carried over to the next map

<li>New maps, new multiplayer modes and rebalanced classes

<li>A less linear single-player campaign with four new chapters

<li>New features such as targets and health meters for enemies, as well as a new interface</ul>

If PC players were not thrilled by the previous news about Elements, this list is like a dagger through the heart. Elements is without any doubt the game that should have shipped in the first place.

I might get it for the 360, but I'm more stoked about SC2 personally. :D

You never know. Don't lose faith! ;)
The odds are, sadly, against that happening though...:sad:

i doubt they'll release it for the PC. obviously things like a lock-on or auto-aim feature are meant only for the console game due to the mouse being used on the pc, and im not sure it would be worth for them to re-release a whole game to the pc just for some new chapters, rebalances, and a new interface... an expansion or a sequel, maybe, but i doubt this would happen.

Crap, this is not fair. Four new chapters, reworked multiplayer, and all of this for console gamers. :(

I hope there will be new spells to- To much fire based.

Fire arrow--->fire trap--->fireball---->inferno

while only lightning from air magic and freeze from water magic :/

there should be split three ways out of a nutral eldritch arrow , ice, fire and lightning.

zap--->lightning--->chain lightning--->thunder storm

ice bolt-->freeze--->frost arc--->blizzard

Owners of the PC version should get a rebate on the Xbox version.

Hell. People paid to betatest the game (PC version basically WAS a betatest now that you think of it). They should get it free.

From what I've heard, I might actually consider the chance of possilby pondering thinking about deliberating on it.
