<img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... oxshot.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>The Might and Magic portal announces a holiday sale for Dark Messiah. At $35 for a digital download, the price is now on par with what you'll find at other stores. But if you want a disc and a (skimpy) manual (and save some bandwith), the <a href="/http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html? ... =9325">$39 deal with free shipping</a><img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=cele ... &l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> at Amazon is probably a better option.

Also on Amazon is the <a href="/http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.htm ... 38">Silver Edition of Heroes of Might and Magic V</a><img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=ce ... &l=ur2&o=2" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />, which appears to be out already. Like the huge Complete edition of the game earlier, this is another UK exclusive. I wouldn't be surprised if a similar package came out in North America as well in the future. Also, the Silver reference screams for a future Gold edition, doesn't it?

I'll get my copy of the <a href="/http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html? ... 9325">Dark Messiah Prima Official Game Guide</a><img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=cele ... &l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> (<a href="/http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.htm ... e=6738">UK version</a><img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=ce ... &l=ur2&o=2" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />) in a week or two, courtesy of The Disciples of Sareth, and I'll post my impressions here. The singleplayer portion of the game hardly requires any walkthrough, as the <a href="/http://www.gamespot.com/features/616041 ... ">GameSpot game guide</a> already does a good job with the game's trickiest levels, but I'm curious to read the section about multiplayer.

Given Ubi's track recod for complete editions (Yes, I mean H4!), I doubt there will be a NA release of anything with both "heroes" and "complete" in the same title.

I have also come across an offer that bundles DM with an inVidia 8800 GTX board. No performance problem there.

Yeah, a Gold edition for Heroes V is quite obvious - it will probably include the original game plus both expansion packs, if we assume there will be another. However, I'm a little more interested in Heroes III Chronicles Complete edition. :)

There's a long explanation on Wikipedia, but nobody's sure where the expression comes from. I usually picture a couple of angry shoppers on a ring, fighting for the last TV on sale...

Boxing day is the 2nd oddest public holiday in my area of the woods, seeing as how (as a. pointed out) no one really know what it means. The weirdest is cup day, which is a public holiday (on a tuesday, no less, which means monday is unofficial "sickie" day) for a horse race. I think we're the only state in the world that does that :)
