Minor note, more related to BDJ's Rev 4 mod...

Don't put the Blue Dragon key in the chest of drawers it opens. You'll never get it back out... ;)

Fortunately, I'd already grabbed the Modder's Precious set. The key's not needed for anything else, is it?

I would also like to suggest putting more staves into the game. I'm at lvl 30 and 3 of the 4 Wizards are still using their original staves.
(Is staves correct, or should it be staffs?)

..and it would be nice to have both melee and ranged ones, but particularly melee ones.

Elf (sings) - elves (mult)
dwarf (singl) - dwarves (mult)
E.T.C.

If the woed ends on -f - it will have -ves ending in multiple counts...something like that. I do not remember correctly because study this in 3rd class. ;|

Adding new stuff in game is rather complicated.
I tried to add new wands - they even succesfuly generated with game engine but if to equip them - game crushes.

The same for the weapons - they all are coded somewhere else :tired:

I thought "staves" was right, but it's always underlined in red; meaning it's spelled wrong.

Technically, "staves" being underlined in red means that your dictionary isn't smart enough to recognize it... ;)

At the least, there are a couple of orb staves later on in the game. Not a tremendous amount, but a couple. I do see nicer swords, though... ;)

There is the Sorcery Staff (or a similar name, I can't remember exactly) early in the game, perhaps on Emerald Island, which equips as a bow and "throws" magic missiles. I didn't keep it because the bows are so much more powerful, but Vladimir said he was tweaking the thrown weapons to make them stronger.

I did not get that screen at the beginning of the game. I got yours BDJ. What did I do wrong, or what did I forget to do? :(

I did not do a new install. I put it right over top of the old stuff in my MM7 directory.

If you don't try this:

(EVERYONE CAN DO THIS)

Install Maestro MOD v2.7 in random directory.
Copy files from there to your MM7 folder (with replacing ofcouse!)
Delete NEW.LOD from DATA folder

Thats all you can do! Classes din't changed - so if you once installed them - you do not need to do this again.

P.S. If you see The Maestro at the begining of the NEW game - you've succesfully updated.

I have experienced the "internal error" multiple times!

When I receive a quest from a messenger in the Tularean Forest the game crashes short after that event. :ill:

Ok, I did it that way and I did see the screen over when I started. Does this mean i should start again though, or can i continue my save game?

If you could you provide a-bit more info, perhaps we can help.

1. Are you playing the Rev2.7 release of Maestro's mod, the basic game or what?

2. Where are you as to game progress? What were your last couple of completed quests or tasks? What is the messenger directing you to do? (re; see the Queen, rescue the Dwarves, et al).

Also, don't use hardware rendering, as it causes all sorts of problems.

1. I am playing the Rev2.7 release of Maestro's mod. I have installed the mod over Might & Magic version 1.3 (moks patch)
No... I am not using hardware rendering.

2. A messenger appears when I arrive in the Tularean Forest during the War between the Elfking and Queen Catherine.
The messenger wants me to return the Gryphonheart Trumpet to either the Queen of Erathia or the elf king.

3. However I have also experienced the internal error elsewhere.
I have used the teleport from erathia to pierpont.
Short after that I have become a dagger expert.
The game crashed when I was browsing in my inventory.

Fortunately I can continue playing this mod after just loading my last saved game. The internal error doesnt show up every time at the same location but it remains an unwanted "random event"

EDIT: I did not delete NEW.LOD inside my DATA folder in MM7. Maybe this is causing trouble?

4. PS. Have you noticed the bug (this) while wearing a weapon in your off hand?

Nope - you are the first one who discover left hand bug.

About crushes in inventory:
There are some problems with it...but I do not know why this happens!

1) I've heard that in BDJ's original MOD - game sometimes crushes when you try to use magic book in Tularen (I have nothing like that when played it for the first time 8| )
2) When I was doing mine MOD - I had no problems with such crushes...until...
Something was wrong in Deyja - when I tried to open MB for 4th charecter - CRUSH! Every other charecter could use MB. There was no this mistake for the first time (doing corier quest with creame).

I have no idea what it is or how to fix it :|
Try not to do crushing action for this location. Try to equip your party before entering this zone (prevent inventory acces). Try not to open MB - before enter set up quick spell.

The 'messenger' logic that causes this event is from the original game. It creates the elf spear/fighter chain 'creatures' for the battle that begins in Tuleria. Without having a copy of your SAVED Game, I would 'guess' that the problem occurs during the spawn of the elves and/or fighters. Each of these 'monsters' has been altered with a summoning capability that could cause the game 'freeze'.

To my knowledge, the final release of the Rev4 mod, after over 300 completed games, never displayed any problem in Tuleria.

If you want to send me a copy of your SAVED Game just prior to entering Tuleria, I could look into it.

Just load the saved game and try to acces the inventory.
