MM7 won't install on Vista

The role-playing games (I-X) that started it all and the various spin-offs (including Dark Messiah).

MM7 won't install on Vista

Unread postby Sgt_BFG » 26 Apr 2007, 14:40

For some reason, the installer for MM7 won't launch on my Vista computer, I've tried using the compatability modes but they don't work, any help please?

http://strony.aster.pl/mokmtg/mm7_eng_xp.exe is the link for Mok's MM7 patch. I found with XP that I had to use the patch, and ALSO switch to compatibility mode. Your mileage may vary...

Sometimes it helps to have to have an older computer just for classic games. We have had a special computer for the great old RPGs and would never part with our older Windows versions.

Though there still is the occasional problem where a program doesn't want to install because it needs 5MB of memory, and it can't tell that 2GB of memory is more than 5MB...

That's what I've always been doing. Keep all my old computers.

Or wants to absolutely install Direct X 1.0 or 2.0 even though you already have 8.0 installed. :\
