Maps of dungeons in MM6, MM7 & MM8

Maps of dungeons in MM6, MM7 & MM8

Unread postby Invictus » 18 Aug 2009, 08:26

Hi guys!
I've got one question - how can I take maps of dungeons from MM6, MM7 & MM8? I've heard these files are "hidden" in one of *.lod files, but I don't know in which and what is their filename.

I'll be glad if you help me.

The dungeon levels in those three games work with a different engine to the overland one (Labyrinth) and aren't mapped out in the same way. You can't extract an image file of their layout because there aren't any.

Best (and quickest) bet is to play through the dungeon, open your automap and hit Print Screen :)

As Corlagon suggested, there is no way to get a map except to take a screenshot while playing. However, you can use Might & Magic map viewer and take screenshots of the entire 3d map for a general layout.

:(
Bad. Making screenshots of every dungeon is more time-consuming than extracting them from .lod files.
But thank you.

How that? Just get a end game save from all games, put fly, town portal/beacon and you visit all dungeons in 20 min.
