King's Bounty

kb the legendIcon used from DA, by thedoctor45After the license for M&M was sold to Ubisoft, King's Bounty wasn't part of the deal and it was bought by 1C Company in 2007. Based on that 1C Company published following sequels:

  • 2008 - King's Bounty: The Legend - About Royal Treasure Searcher Bill Gilbert, developed by Katauri Interactive
  • 2009 - King's Bounty: The Armored Princess - About Princess Amelie, developed by Katauri Interactive
  • 2010 - King's Bounty: Crosswords - Brought Map Editor and some short campaigns, developed by Katauri Interactive
  • 2011 - King's Bounty: Legions - Online and mobile iteration, one and only developed by Nival
  • 2012 - King's Bounty: Warriors of the North - Nordic Inspiration. Developed by 1C-SoftClub
  • 2014 - King's Bounty: The Dark Side - To see the world from the other perspective, play for Vampire, Orc Warrior or Succubi. Developed by 1C-SoftClub

King's Bounty is a single-player game where you fulfil quests to save your kingdom or world. You travel with your hero from continent to continet to grow up,  hire and fight new units combos. Mission after mission, to unravel your true destiny. The game is witty and fun. In the first 1C Sequel The Legend you are getting wives and babies to support your skills. In the second, Armored Princess, you have a baby dragon and later also elemental guardians. And in the Dark Side you have omnious Blackie.

We have available Hero Skill Wheels for The Legend and The Armored Princess here.

I recommend to save a lot in every sequel but the most in the Dark Side, it's seen that it was done by different team and some quests are essentials and you cannot miss/fail them.

The original King's Bounty was predecessor for all Might & Magic Heroes games, regarding that it was a bit different. Player was visiting individual locations and fulfilling quests with his army.  The game was created by Jon Van Caneghem in 1990.

  • KB: Strategy Game of the Year?

Hundreds of fans seem to think King's Bounty: The Legend is worthy of the strategy game of the year awards, according to a poll on IGN's Voodoo Extreme. The reviews of the game certainly support that view, but there is some stiff competition out there: Sins of a Solar Empire, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, GalCiv II: Twilight of the Arnor and Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization, among others, are all games with large fan bases.
