Heroes Chronicles

TarnumHeroes Chronicles - are separate Add-On for Heroes III. They told us story about Tarnum, the immortal hero. Know these, we know already Solmyr and "aspirants" like the vile necromancer Sandro. And also Gaving Magnus, an uplayable character, who is The Immortal King of Braccada.

"This story takes place before the foundation of the kingdom of Erathia. Once upon a time, the great barbarian King Jarg ruler over those lands. But then the Wizards of Bracaduun came and enslaved the barbarian people. Young Tarnum learns the long-lost history of his people from the last bards and decides to do anything to break the Wizards' rule. Becoming the new Barbarian King, he leads the clans against Bracaduun."

The text was written by Terry B. Ray, and at these times he wrote much more, so nowadays, they do continue in the "Lost Tales of the Axeoth" which is Heroes VII Add-On and various spin-offs, adding at least one more name, again barbarian Dogwoggle.

Apart from that appearance, there are now even Legends of the Acients - which is Heroes V Add-On, currently curated by Quantomas and Axeoth Restoration Team who aim is to recreate them for Heroes IV.

Notes:

  • We borrowed the campaigns summary from heroes.thelazy.net wiki.
  • Although the origins of the name Tarnum are uknown. It's most similar to indian word and name Tarannum, which means melody. As a bit of ironic, Heroes III. also feature elven heroine Melody.
