The fifth faction in Heroes VII will be Sylvan.

In the current Shadow Council vote between Fortress and Sylvan, the elves now have an overwhelming lead of 66% to the dwarves' 34% with less than 15 hours left to vote, making a Dwarven win a statistical impossibility. We therefore feel confident in calling the vote at this time, declaring that the elves will be the ones to join Academy, Haven, Necropolis and Stronghold in the initial release. The Fortress may at some point make a return in an expansion, but we have no information regarding the chances of this.

A later vote will decide the sixth and final faction to join the H7 lineup. That vote stands between Dungeon and Inferno.
