Ubisoft chairman Yves Guillemot is confident that his company will be able to defend itself against a potential hostile takeover bid by EA Games. "All the strategies have been studied," said Guillemot, "and we have a plan, which I cannot reveal, that will allow us to win in this matter, that is to say to keep the creativity that constitutes Ubisoft's value today." Last month's purchase of a nearly 20% stake makes EA Games the second largest shareholder. While a spokesman for EA maintains that their actions are not hostile, Guillemot remains firm that Ubisoft is prepared to fight.
