Ubisoft Chairman Yves Guillemot told the French press today that they were in talks with their investors (minus EA) to convince them of the group's true value and their intention to remain independant. Yves is reported saying that, "Much of the company's value was not yet visible and that it needed to control its capital in order to fulfil its strategy."

Ubisoft secured a publishing deal with InXile Entertainment for its RPG The Bard's Tale on Monday, but here's hoping Ubisoft's 'strategy' also includes seeing HOMM V through to a satisfactory conclusion. The full report can be found on Reuters
